a heartful gift guide: eating

i’m not crazy about food-as-gifts, at least not for my nearest and dearest*. but, i like food, obviously. and i like food items as a smaller gift. there’s much that can be said for well thought out, cute candy as an add-on, a stocking stuffer, or a loot bag treat. this is especially the case if it’s something that the recipient would love, but never think to pick up for themselves.

mihow’s gorgeous lollipops, made with real sugar!

delightful french nougat from kettle confections in new york city

these macarons would be so pretty as a hostess gift.

happy weekend! i’ll be back on monday with a round-up of incredible, easy to make ahead, cookies!

*the exception to this rule is thoughtfully curated collections of food, with a theme. (such as a montreal-themed gift, that may find its way under the tree this year. ahem)
