not for the arachnophobic
my life in ottawa has taught me to appreciate a few things: political history, museums, green spaces, good food and public art. that last one might be the fault of my most recent job, but i’m not complaining.
i was searching through ottawa magazine for an article (which, i sadly could not find), when i came across a slideshow of the convergence of public art and good food in ottawa. three chefs were challenged to create dishes based on their favourite or most-inspiring works of art in the capital region and i must say, the results are incredible!
as though i needed another reason to return to atelier, chef marc lepin’s conception of maman is a fitting tribute involving a chocolate rum cake. even if you’re afraid of spiders, it’s still enticing.
